The Supply Chain Manager serves as a primary on-site liaison between the System Logistics Department (purchasing and distribution) and site Administration, department heads, physicians, and clinical staff within each facility. This role ensures the cost-effective utilization of products, including medical/surgical supplies and technological assessment, and optimizes the utilization of supply chain resources at assigned hospitals and facilities, including staffing and inventory. The manager analyzes supply chain data to measure best practices, increase quality, and decrease costs, and collaborates with facility caregivers and System Logistics to convert new products. They also evaluate and monitor inventory/stock levels, conduct quality supply chain audits, identify quality issues, and develop and implement process improvement plans. Additionally, the role involves meeting with vendors, coordinating with staff development on educational programs, performing human resources responsibilities for staff, and developing and recommending operating and capital budgets.
