Join us and help run what runs the world. This position reports to: Manufacturing Unit Manager West. The work model for the role is: Onsite. In this role, you will lead plant operations across material planning, inventory management, production scheduling, customer service, warehousing, and resource management. You will drive initiatives to improve on-time delivery, reduce lead times, and optimize resources while coordinating with hub and BU planning teams to align plant supply with global demand. You will be accountable for delivery performance, inventory levels, and production capacity, providing strong leadership through clear communication, informed decision‑making, and team accountability. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with minimum 6 years of experience in manufacturing roles (production, purchasing, planning, scheduling or similar).
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
  • Working knowledge of bills of materials (BOMs) and routings
  • SAP experience preferred
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Proven leadership and collaboration across all levels
  • Professional, positive, and adaptable with the ability to manage multiple priorities and perform well under pressure.
  • Candidates must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.

Nice To Haves

  • 8+ years of Supply Chain Management in Manufacturing
  • APICS certification a plus

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all operations follow company policies, health and safety guidelines, and integrity standards while promoting a safe, compliant work environment.
  • Lead monthly operations planning; align engineering, manufacturing, testing, and materials with short‑term scheduling; manage local material capability inputs; oversee supplier S&OP engagement; and own raw/WIP inventory processes and optimization projects.
  • Run short‑term planning connected to S&OP and the master schedule; coordinate responses to unplanned events; drive efficient receiving, shipping, warehousing, and material handling; and lead cross‑functional improvement initiatives using Lean Six Sigma tools.
  • Support changes in planning systems, business processes, and ERP tools while leading and developing the local planning team through effective organization, coaching, and performance management.
