This position leads a team and the processes to partner with Sales to provide value-added services to customers and works with internal business partners to provide data support identifying opportunities to improve service and reduce total system costs. He/she will have overall ownership for: Responsibilities: Maintaining best practices for implementing and sustaining Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) programs. Providing data and insights to internal and external partners to support business decisions as well as using data to report on existing systems and processes. Establishing processes to identify, prioritize and drive strategic supply chain initiatives across the total value chain to deliver industry leading supply chain results that customers value and reward. Establish standard work for VMI programs including but not limited to designing programs that meet customer needs, documenting Rules of Engagement, managing tools/systems to calculate requirements, developing processes to maintain models and accurate outputs, and working with plants to ensure compliance. Lead a team who maintains VMI models and meets the organization’s business analytics needs. Collect and leverage data that produces business analytics to continuously improve the total cost and performance of the value chain. Drive a data governance model to ensure clean and accurate data and standard consumption/use of that data. Design and implement KPI measures, measurement systems and visual tracking controls/dashboards to manage process performance for sustainability and continuous improvement. Work with internal customers to link metrics and reporting to Strategic Initiatives. Build and maintain effective relationships with supply chain counterparts at the assigned customer account(s). Lead the collaborative planning, forecasting, and replenishment (CPFR) and/or vendor managed inventory (VMI) processes with the customer(s) and input forecast and event requirements into the Demand Plan. Develop and execute a strategic plan to reduce costs, grow revenue and develop customer intimacy aligned with business needs and priorities for customers participating in a formal collaboration model. Support Merger and Acquisition activity by identifying best practices and opportunities and implementing Fort Dearborn standards in this space. Document business processes and standard work, assist to develop system solutions and validate system designs through rigorous testing of solutions. Participate in the Managing for Daily Improvement (MDI) meetings and support KPI measures to manage process performance for sustainability and continuous improvement. Contribute to the success of the overall business by representing supply chain interests in cross-functional project teams to implement changes to business processes Mentor and train team members on systems and processes as well as trading partners and groups in other business units or departments Identify opportunities for improvement, makes constructive suggestions for change and drive for results Monitor industry trends, best practices, and regulatory issues as they relate to specific area(s) of responsibility and shares discoveries, as appropriate, with direct reports and peers. Participate in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
