Last Mile seeks a Supply Chain Manager, Capacity Planning to lead in the space of capacity planning across traditional and crowd sourced delivery service and sort models. The role involves performing system and process analysis to root cause issues within existing systems and recommend improvements. It also requires writing business documents to communicate ideas/issues and align stakeholders on the path forward. The position involves partnering with stakeholders across the company to lead, support, and influence new initiatives, and leading strategic initiatives related to network capacity within Amazon's various business units. The focus is on optimizing and managing the flow of goods, information, or services within the supply chain network, balancing supply and demand, and assessing/improving the efficiency of distribution networks, warehouses, or logistics operations. The role requires analyzing and synthesizing data to identify opportunities for enhancing customer experiences and operational efficiency in network capacity. It also involves defining metrics, developing program management mechanisms, and inventing/simplifying processes to drive decision-making in complex network capacity situations. The Supply Chain Manager will manage cross-functional network capacity initiatives, ensuring continuous improvement and adherence to lean philosophy at scale, and own a portfolio of cross-functional programs related to network capacity, driving performance improvement and efficiency in project delivery. Driving innovation by staying ahead of emerging AI technologies and trends is also a key aspect of the role.
