About The Position

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for an Experienced Supply Chain Management Analyst (Level 3) to join our Space Launch Systems (SLS) team in Kennedy Space Center, Florida. This position works under general direction and is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options. This position is for 1st shift, however, candidates must be willing to work any shift as required. NASA Access: This position requires the ability to obtain access to a National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) facility. This position must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Requirements

  • More than 3 years of experience in supply chain or materials management
  • More than 3 years of experience working in a manufacturing, warehouse, shipping or customer service environment
  • More than 3 years of experience using all the following Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • More than 3 years of experience in Production Control and Material Management processes
  • Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • More than 3 years of experience working with spacecraft/aircraft factory manufacturing, quality, and inventory/production control processes and tools (planning, MRP, BOMs, etc.)
  • More than 3 years of experience with Material Requirements Planning, including the use of Compass Contract or a similar MRP system
  • Experience working on SAP Procurement module as either a functional analyst or an architect

Responsibilities

  • Incorporates change and planning decisions to arrive at optimal solutions
  • Applies Supply Chain Management (SCM) methodologies to ensure coordination in the global supply chain
  • Analyzes complex material requirements
  • Verifies and incorporates Bills of Material/schedules into a production plan
  • Determines part number attributes
  • Initiates, coordinates and authorizes release of orders by evaluating system requirements and resource availability
  • Ensures on-time delivery
  • Documents and resolves order delinquencies
  • Reports schedule adherence issues
  • Develops and controls inventory plans
  • Optimizes inventory levels
  • Analyzes and dispositions excess inventories
  • Initiates audits
  • Develops and creates schedules for products and services
  • Assists in developing estimates and schedules for new business proposals
  • Implements and maintains process improvements by analyzing and establishing best practices for materials management to improve SCM performance
