(USA) Supply Chain Maintenance Technician - 4th Shift (5:30 am - 5:30 pm)
About The Position
This role is responsible for performing preventive maintenance and repairs on various equipment within the supply chain, including lift trucks, pneumatic systems, material handling equipment, hydraulic equipment, dock equipment, banana room equipment, and electronic/electrical equipment. The technician will also operate material handling equipment, clean and maintain facilities, read technical drawings, change and maintain industrial batteries, and assist other technicians. The position involves troubleshooting complex equipment problems and upholding company values such as Respect the Individual, Act with Integrity, Serve our Customers and Members, and Strive for Excellence.
Requirements
- 2 years of experience in industrial maintenance working with electrical, electronics, and mechanical equipment (for example, forklifts, conveyors, building equipment, automated equipment) or Coursework or certification in industrial maintenance, electronics, electrical, mechanical automation, mechatronics or other related areas of study.
Nice To Haves
- Active, industry recognized certification such as Certified Reliability and Maintenance Technician (CRMT) or Master Certified Electronics Technician (MCET).
- Associate’s degree or higher degree in related field such as mechatronics, electronics, or industrial maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Communicate with or to individuals or groups verbally and/or in writing (e.g., customers, suppliers, associates).
- Complete work orders, records, logs, and other written or computer-based documents according to established procedures.
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment (e.g., lift trucks, pneumatic systems, material handling equipment, hydraulic equipment, dock equipment, banana room equipment, electronic and electrical equipment, etc.) according to procedures.
- Operate material handling equipment, battery equipment, moving machinery, and other powered equipment.
- Clean and maintain grounds, parking lots, fencing, and building facilities (e.g., bathrooms, plumbing).
- Read and understand technical drawings (e.g., blueprints, electronic/mechanical schematics) to repair/maintain equipment.
- Change industrial batteries for all types of power equipment, including the removal and replacement of battery retention plates.
- Maintain (e.g., inspect, clean, and repair) industrial equipment batteries according to procedures (e.g., tips, contacts, cables).
- Assist other maintenance technicians in the repair and maintenance of equipment.
- Troubleshoot complex problems with equipment where the repair is not immediately visible or obvious.
