Leads the Support Organization (Receiving and Inventory Control), defines and implements industry leading distribution and labor management strategies, standards, and guidelines at the Americas Distribution Center (ADC).

Requirements

  • Demonstrated knowledge of industry standard Good Distribution Practices (GDP).
  • Knowledge and experience with labor management, engineered labor standards and managing to performance standards.

  • Excellent attention to details; demonstrated ability to use reason, even when dealing with sensitive topics.

  • BS/BA in related discipline, or advanced degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Typically, 3-5 years of successful experience in Inventory Management.
  • Experience managing both direct and contract work force in a competitive labor environment.
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
  • Travel may be up to 10% for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Manages exempt/non-exempt Distribution team members across two shifts in department of responsibility.
  • Plans and organizes daily activities related to department strategy.
  • Organizes and oversees the schedules and work of assigned staff over assigned department.
  • Maintains regular performance discussion with employees and ensures discussions are held with all employees within assigned department.
  • Measures productivity and quality by analyzing performance data, financial data, and activity reports.
  • Maintains and reports on department KPIs monthly.
  • Coordinates with other departments such as human resources, finance, and quality to ensure successful operations.
  • Assists in planning departmental budgets and monitors budget adherence.
  • Determines labor needs to meet departmental labor management goals.
  • Ensures department related process documents are complete and employee training is effective.
  • Performs other related duties as required.
