About The Position

As the Supply Chain Lead at BlueCore Energy, you will build and manage the procurement and supplier network required to bring our advanced floating Pressurized Water Reactor (PWR) to life. Operating at the critical intersection of nuclear engineering and maritime construction, you will bridge the gap between engineering design and our supplier base, ensuring that components for both primary and secondary loops meet rigorous nuclear standards. In this foundational role, you will stand up procurement engineering, commercial-grade dedication, and counterfeit-parts controls while working closely with finance and quality teams to establish the entire nuclear-qualified supply chain and shipyard qualification plan.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in supply chain management within nuclear, aerospace, marine, or highly regulated heavy manufacturing industries.
  • Demonstrated experience successfully implementing and scaling Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems in a manufacturing environment.
  • Solid understanding of procurement engineering principles, contract negotiation, and inventory logistics.
  • Practical familiarity with 10 CFR 50 Appendix B quality assurance criteria and vendor management practices.
  • Experience establishing vendor audit controls, receipt inspections, and component traceability processes.
  • Strong track record of technical collaboration with engineering, quality, and finance teams.

Nice To Haves

  • Strong familiarity with ASME NQA-1 standards and nuclear supply chain requirements is highly preferred.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Quality, or a related technical discipline.
  • Direct experience leading or supporting an ASME NQA-1 program and establishing nuclear-qualified vendor networks.
  • Hands-on experience with commercial-grade dedication (CGD) per EPRI guidelines and 10 CFR Part 21 defect reporting rules.
  • Familiarity with shipyard and commercial marine quality assurance interfaces, weld qualifications, and non-destructive examination (NDE) standards.
  • Proven capability in designing counterfeit and fraudulent parts prevention controls.

Responsibilities

  • Capture and translate complex engineering requirements into actionable supplier specifications for primary and secondary loop components.
  • Identify, vet, and onboard suppliers capable of delivering high-quality, nuclear-grade materials and components.
  • Select, implement, and manage an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system to handle inventory control, ordering, and logistics.
  • Negotiate contracts, manage procurement costs, and establish robust cost-control mechanisms for the startup phase and beyond.
  • Work closely with the Quality team to ensure all suppliers comply with relevant quality standards (ASME NQA-1 and 10 CFR 50 Appendix B).
  • Stand up the supplier audit and corrective action program (CAP) processes across our vendor network.
  • Build out a nuclear-qualified supply chain alongside a comprehensive shipyard qualification plan.
  • Own procurement engineering, commercial-grade dedication (CGD), and counterfeit-parts controls across all procurement streams.
  • Partner with finance and leadership on make-vs-buy analyses and the capital planning of long-lead procurement items.
  • Establish document control, records management, and configuration management systems to ensure full component traceability and pedigree.
