About The Position

At LMI, we are developing next-generation RFID, GPS tagging, and sensor-mesh solutions for mission-critical operations within the Department of Defense (DoD). The Supply Chain Lead is crucial for ensuring reliable, cost-effective, and mission-ready delivery of components and services for this work. This role reports to the PMO Manager and is embedded within the Program Management Office, collaborating closely with Product, Engineering, and Program Leadership. The Supply Chain Lead is responsible for executing procurement activities, managing supplier relationships, and providing essential cost, schedule, and risk visibility to support successful program delivery. This position is ideal for a highly collaborative, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can translate supply chain data into actionable insights and outcomes. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 10–15 years of experience in supply chain, procurement, or related roles, preferably supporting hardware or technology programs.
  • Demonstrated experience managing supplier relationships and negotiating pricing, lead times, and delivery terms.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage a high volume of purchase orders and competing priorities.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with program management, engineering, and finance teams.
  • Solid understanding of supply chain risk management and inventory planning concepts.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
  • U.S. citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance; willingness to travel as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting RFID, IoT, hardware systems, or asset tracking technologies.
  • Knowledge of FAR/DFARS and experience supporting government or DoD-related procurement activities.
  • Familiarity with supply chain or ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI).
  • Experience supporting programs within a PMO or structured program delivery environment.
  • Active Secret clearance.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., APICS/ASCM CPIM or CSCP).

Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day engagement with suppliers to execute purchasing actions, including negotiating pricing, lead times, and delivery commitments.
  • Create, manage, and track purchase requisitions and purchase orders from initiation through delivery and closeout.
  • Develop strong supplier relationships to improve responsiveness, resolve issues, and drive favorable cost and schedule outcomes.
  • Coordinate closely with Contracts to ensure compliance with FAR/DFARS requirements and proper execution of procurement actions.
  • Partner with the PMO, Product, and Engineering teams to align procurement activities with program schedules, technical requirements, and budget constraints.
  • Provide timely updates on procurement status, risks, and impacts to cost and schedule.
  • Share invoicing and expenditure data to support accurate program financial tracking and P&L visibility.
  • Ensure procurement actions are executed in accordance with approved plans and priorities.
  • Identify and proactively manage supply chain risks, including long-lead items, single-source dependencies, and potential disruptions.
  • Recommend alternate sourcing strategies, suppliers, or design trade-offs to mitigate risk and improve resilience.
  • Provide data-driven insights to support decision-making around cost, schedule, and supply continuity.
  • Develop recommendations for inventory strategies, including stock levels, safety stock, and reorder points based on demand signals and lead times.
  • Coordinate with PMO stakeholders to align inventory decisions with program needs and constraints.
  • Support inventory tracking, storage coordination, and material readiness for deployments.
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of supply chain processes within the PMO to improve efficiency, visibility, and coordination
  • Maintain organized documentation and tracking systems for procurement, suppliers, and inventory
  • Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, improve data accuracy, and enhance cross-team collaboration.
