About The Position

Responsible for coordinating and supporting the daily inventory management and control activities for procedural supply areas. This role utilizes analytical tools and systems such as Lawson, Epic, and Excel to accurately capture spend and utilization data in support of inventory control, operational efficiency, and cost management initiatives. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment while supporting seamless patient care operations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Warehouse organization and operational experience preferred
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Outlook, and Excel required
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Minimum of six (6) years of related inventory management experience required
  • Familiarity with automated Supply Chain systems preferred
  • An Associate degree may substitute for up to two (2) years of required experience
  • A Bachelor’s degree may substitute for up to four (4) years of required experience

Nice To Haves

  • Warehouse organization and operational experience preferred
  • Familiarity with automated Supply Chain systems preferred

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates supply management activities for OR and specialty procedural areas by maintaining, monitoring, adjusting, and replenishing inventory levels.
  • Processes requisitions, tracks and expedites orders, and assists with product requests and supply conversions.
  • Accurately processes consignment requisitions, including contract verification and vendor coordination regarding documentation, pricing discrepancies, and unauthorized supplies.
  • Assists in identifying and implementing opportunities to improve operational efficiency and reduce supply costs.
  • Evaluates and adjusts par levels to optimize inventory management and cost effectiveness.
  • Manages expired, obsolete, and recalled inventory while ensuring appropriate follow-up and return processing.
  • Maintains and updates order guides, par locations, labeling systems, and supply organization to support efficient workflows.
  • Collaborates with corporate teams regarding item activations, contract concerns, and Epic item integrity.
  • Processes non-stock requisitions accurately and follows up with purchasing as needed.
  • Reviews procedural schedules to proactively identify upcoming supply, implant, or specialty product needs.
  • Supports approved product conversions and coordinates new product trials and implementations.
  • Participates in tissue tracking system coordination, based on facility or organizational needs.
  • Actively contributes to departmental goals and continuous process improvement initiatives.
  • Participates in Corporate Surgical Supply Chain meetings and procedural-related committees.
  • Supports corporate standardization initiatives across facilities.
  • Assists with case picking and put-away activities as needed.
  • Updates preference cards when necessary.
  • Participates in quality improvement activities and special projects.
