About The Position

This position is in the Central Supply department and is a PRN Rotating role, working every other weekend from Saturday to Sunday, 9:30 PM to 6:00 AM. The work location is UAB St. Vincent's Birmingham in Birmingham, AL. The role involves monitoring, ordering, stocking, and transporting supplies and/or equipment for the organization, ensuring timely delivery and maintaining storeroom inventory levels. It also requires investigating and troubleshooting inventory issues, maintaining accurate tracking records, minimizing stock expiration through adherence to rotation guidelines, and engaging customers (clinicians, administrators, colleagues, vendors) to ensure good service.

Requirements

  • High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
  • Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor, order, stock, and transport supplies and/or equipment for the organization.
  • Ensure timely delivery of stock/inventory as needed.
  • Maintain storeroom inventory levels and timely removal of expired products.
  • Investigate and troubleshoot inventory issues/problems.
  • Maintain accurate tracking records for inventory.
  • Ensure stock expiration is minimized with adherence to stock rotation guidelines and best practices.
  • Engage customers on a regular basis to ensure good service. This requires professional presence to effectively interact with clinicians, administrators, colleagues, and vendors.
