The Supply Chain Intern is responsible for assisting with business goals to decrease manufacturing time, minimize inventory, streamline order fulfillment and reduce costs as we deliver products that meet our customers’ price and scheduling needs and improve our business results within a collaborative, fast-paced, and hands-on environment. In addition, the intern is given the opportunity to apply skills and gain an understanding of the organization through various intern events.

Requirements

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree from an accredited program with a major or minor in supply chain, procurement, engineering, finance, economics, MIS, logistics, or another related business subject area graduating between December 2027 and spring 2028.
• Right to work in the U.S. that is not based solely on possession of a student visa or a visa sponsored by a third-party employer.
• Proven ability to work optimally with individuals from a diverse set of backgrounds and cultures.
• Candidates must be geographically flexible and willing to relocate for an internship opportunity in Wichita, KS.
• Able to complete a 12-week internship in the summer (May/June - August 2027).
• Must possess a high degree of initiative and resourcefulness in completing work with limited guidance.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with business goals to decrease manufacturing time, minimize inventory, streamline order fulfillment and reduce costs.
• Meeting customers’ price and scheduling needs and improving business results within a collaborative, fast-paced, and hands-on environment.
• Applying skills and gaining an understanding of the organization through various intern events.
• Working in one of our diverse businesses, with possible opportunities in Supply Chain Planning or Transportation and Logistics.
• For Supply Chain Planning: Projects and/or operations support in areas including demand planning, inventory management, supply chain planning, or production scheduling.
• For Transportation and Logistics: Logistics management and transportation coordination, including exposure to equipment management, cost control, transportation coordination, deployment, and planning.
• May be involved in customer service, operations planning, freight bills, tariff/rate quotations, rate management, and local plant logistics.
