Job Overview The Supply Chain Intern gains exposure to Macy’s end-to-end supply chain network, engaging in cross-functional collaboration and hands-on work in a fulfillment center. The Supply Chain Operations team oversees the flow of products from domestic and international suppliers through fulfillment and delivery centers to stores and customers, and the intern plays an active role in supporting this work through high-impact projects. As part of Macy’s Process Engineering team, the intern assists in identifying opportunities to streamline operations and reduce waste within e-commerce distribution centers. Responsibilities include collecting and analyzing data on workflow efficiency, labor utilization, and equipment performance; supporting the development and testing of process improvements; collaborating with engineers and operations staff to implement solutions; and helping document best practices through visual tools such as process maps and standard operating procedures. During this 8-week program, the intern contributes new ideas that directly impact the business while gaining exposure to Macy’s culture through senior leader interactions, professional development workshops, and networking opportunities.

Rising Seniors pursuing a bachelor’s degree with strong academic performance are encouraged to apply.
Minimum 3.0 GPA required.
This position requires heavy lifting, constant moving, remaining in a stationary position, and reaching with arms and hands.
Involves remaining in a stationary position for at least two consecutive hours, lifting at least 30 lbs. stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders.
May involve reaching above eye level.
Requires close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
Able to work a flexible schedule based on department and company needs.
