About The Position

Flowserve is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Supply Chain Intern to join our Operations Manufacturing Seals team in Kalamazoo, Michigan. This internship provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience within a global manufacturing organization while supporting key supply chain, procurement, inventory, and operational activities. The successful candidate will work closely with supply chain professionals and manufacturing teams to improve efficiency, support inventory management, analyze data, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. This role is ideal for students pursuing a degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, Logistics, Engineering, or a related field.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a team-oriented environment.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous internship, co-op, or work experience in manufacturing, operations, logistics, or supply chain.
  • Experience using ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement principles.

Responsibilities

  • Support daily supply chain and operational activities within the manufacturing environment.
  • Assist with inventory management, cycle counting, and inventory accuracy initiatives.
  • Analyze supply chain data and develop reports to support decision-making.
  • Collaborate with purchasing, planning, production, and logistics teams to ensure timely material availability.
  • Help monitor supplier performance and delivery schedules.
  • Participate in process improvement and cost reduction projects.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation within ERP and supply chain systems.
  • Assist in identifying opportunities to improve operational efficiency and workflow.
  • Support special projects and other duties as assigned.
