The Boeing Supply Chain Engineering team has an exciting opportunity to join the team as an Experienced Supply Chain Industrial Engineer , located in the US Central Region (Ridley Park, PA; Detroit, MI; Indianapolis, IN; and Columbus, OH). This position provides Industrial Engineering and Lean deployment functional excellence within Boeing’s supply chain by rapidly analyzing, designing, and implementing sustainable production system improvements. Industrial Engineers lead initiatives aimed at supporting on-time delivery, enhancing quality, and driving cost improvements through application of Industrial Engineering principles. Each team member works in close collaboration with Boeing stakeholders and supplier leadership to plan and implement improvement projects and train suppliers on a rapid process improvement framework. Projects range across the Enterprise including engagements with Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA), Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS), and Boeing Global Services (BGS) in collaboration with Global Field Operations (GFO) and Supply Chain Operation teams. Industrial Engineers may be deployed to suppliers for various durations, ranging from one week to three months, and may include long-term engagements involving domestic and international travel for up to 12 months; however, short-term engagements are most likely. The statement of work includes supplier recovery, sourcing and work transfers, supplier health and readiness, affordability, and functional excellence. Team members must be prepared to travel up to 75% of the time.
