About The Position

A position within the Global Transportation function facilitating international shipments of military aircraft production and sustainment materials. Responsible for the strategic transportation solutions for specific Partner/FMS Countries. Manages international import/export transportation activities through partnering with in-country transportation and ITC team. Interface with Customs Brokers, Freight Forwarders and other service providers to effectively support movement of freight in support of the program. Investigates and resolves transportation problems and questions received from other units of the company, customers, government regulatory agencies, etc. Interface with local military representatives and local governing agencies to support transportation/logistics requirements. Act in advisory role as liaison between Core Traffic, International Trade Compliance, Global Sustainment, Program Management and others. Assist in the execution of all required licensing and permits associated the exportation and importation of military related products. Execute compliance programs and tools designed by International Trade Compliance to increase awareness and knowledge of compliance policies, laws and regulations. Provide regulatory guidance and oversight to company personnel on import/export and transportation issues. Responsible to monitor upcoming changes to import/export regulatory requirements and proactively develop transportation / logistics operating plans to support compliance. Represent Lockheed Martin compliance interests before internal tribunals, Local Customs, Other Government Agencies (OGA) and external partners.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Experience with global logistics, including transportation and warehousing, associated with Fleet Sustainment.
  • Experience in supply chain management, freight forwarding and/or regulatory compliance associated with military and/or commercial products.
  • Experience developing solutions to logistics problems of unusual complexity which require a high degree of ingenuity, creativity, and innovativeness.
  • Experience establishing robust procedures that deliver executable transportation solutions across core functions and programs.
  • Demonstrated problem‑solving ability in ambiguous, rapidly changing environments.
  • This position requires a government security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience dealing with requirements specified in regulations pertaining to controlled export / import activities, e.g., Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and International Traffic In Arms Regulations (ITAR)
  • Skilled at analyzing and resolving issues despite incomplete information or shifting priorities
  • Demonstrated ability to develop presentations and to conduct daily status calls and/or briefings.
  • U.S. Domestic and Global Dangerous Goods shipping regulatory knowledge
  • Ability to proactively function in a high-paced team environment.
  • Ability to mentor and train team members.
