About The Position

Dauch is looking for a Supply Chain Coordinator to join our team in Three Rivers, MI. The Supply Chain Coordinator is responsible for leading and coordinating all material and logistics activities associated with new program launches and build events. This person ensures that all materials are planned, procured, and delivered on time to support successful builds. In addition, this person drives continuous improvement initiatives focused on material flow optimization, labor efficiency, and reduction of forklift traffic through alternative material handling solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field.
  • 3–5+ years of experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of material planning, logistics, and production processes.
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional teams and managing multiple priorities.

  • Experience implementing material handling solutions (tuggers, kitting, line-side delivery, etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Leads coordination of all material requirements for new program launches and build events.
  • Ensures material readiness to support all prototype, pilot, and production builds.
  • Collaborates cross-functionally with engineering, production, quality, and suppliers to align build schedules and material availability.
  • Tracks and communicates build readiness status, identifying risks and implementing mitigation plans.
  • Supports change management activities related to engineering changes and new part introductions.
  • Oversees procurement and delivery timing of new program materials.
  • Validates bill of materials (BOM) accuracy and ensure alignment with build requirements.
  • Coordinates inbound logistics and inventory staging to support efficient build execution.
  • Leads initiatives to reduce forklift traffic on the manufacturing floor.
  • Implements alternative material handling solutions such as tuggers, push carts, and automated technologies.
  • Analyzes current material flow and design more efficient, safe, and ergonomic processes.
  • Partners with operations and EHS to improve workplace safety through reduced forklift usage.
  • Identifies and executes continuous improvement opportunities to enhance labor efficiency and reduce operational costs.
  • Supports labor planning initiatives by improving material delivery methods and line-side presentation.
  • Utilizes lean manufacturing principles to eliminate waste and improve workflow.
  • Tracks and reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to efficiency, cost savings, and process improvements.
  • All other duties as assigned.
