About The Position

PeaceHealth Springfield Rehabilitation Hospital is opening a brand-new inpatient rehabilitation facility (IRF) in 2026. This facility is part of Lifepoint Health, a diversified healthcare delivery network. The Supply Chain Coordinator will identify inventory needs for all hospital departments, order medical and office supplies, and manage returns of unused or misordered supplies. This role is crucial for ensuring supportive documentation for Quality Initiatives (QIs) is complete in medical records, informing leadership about recalled medical supplies, and maintaining organized and stocked inventory. The coordinator will also manage purchase orders and packing slips for accurate payment and communicate with leadership regarding inventory levels and special needs.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required.
  • Must be able to deal tactfully with co-workers, physicians and patients.
  • Good Communication and organizational skills.
  • Must be able to follow written and oral instructions.

Nice To Haves

  • Some college preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in purchasing preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Identifies inventory needs for all departments in the hospital.
  • Orders both medical and office supplies as needed.
  • Returns all unused or misordered supplies to the vendor in a timely fashion.
  • Ensures supportive documentation for QIs is complete in the medical record.
  • Informs Leadership when recalled medical supplies are issued and removes recalled supplies from clean supply rooms.
  • Stocks and labels all charged medical and office supplies.
  • Maintains and organizes all medical and office supplies.
  • Revises information in computer system(s) as needed.
  • Communicates with Leadership to ensure inventory levels are sufficient.
  • Keeps Leadership informed of any special inventory needs.
  • Coordinates purchase orders and packing slips for timely and accurate payment.
