About The Position

HF Sinclair in Dallas, TX is seeking a Supply Chain Co-Op, who will conduct routine strategic sourcing and supply chain projects for the Procurement department under close supervision. This six-month learning opportunity provides students with hands-on exposure to category management, spend analytics, supplier engagement, and procurement operations. This role will be located at the HF Sinclair corporate office in Dallas, Texas.

Requirements

  • Some completed classes towards a Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain or a related field.
  • Ability to apply intermediate level clerical and data entry assignments based on pre-established guidelines
  • Basic knowledge of strategic sourcing and procurement principles and practices, and administrative procedures
  • Proficient with word processing, database, e-mail and spreadsheet applications skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate with others, both written and verbal communication
  • Detail oriented
  • Ability to collect, review and organize data
  • Ability to perform intermediate mathematical calculations

Responsibilities

  • Analyze procurement and spend data to identify trends, savings opportunities, supplier performance metrics, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Develop reports, dashboards, and presentations that communicate insights to Procurement leadership and business stakeholders.
  • Support strategic sourcing projects, including market analysis, supplier research, bid event preparation, and supplier evaluations.
  • Assist category managers in developing and executing category management strategies and multi-year sourcing plans.
  • Conduct industry and market research to evaluate supply market conditions, pricing trends, supplier capabilities, and potential risks.
  • Support supplier onboarding, supplier performance initiatives, and procurement process improvements.
  • Assist with procurement and supply chain technology initiatives, including testing, implementation, and data validation activities.
  • Review and validate procurement data to ensure quality, accuracy, and compliance.
  • Participate in supplier meetings, internal stakeholder meetings, and cross-functional project teams.
  • Special assignments or tasks assigned to the employee by their supervisor, as determined from time to time in their sole and complete discretion.
