Supply Chain Category Manager
About The Position
The Supply Chain Category Manager is responsible for directing the coordination, oversight, assessment, evaluation, trial, implementation and management of healthcare products (medical and surgical or procedural). Serves as facilitator or member of committees as assigned or as the need arises. Interacts with IS and Clinical Engineering. Interfaces between Clinicians, Purchasing, and Suppliers as the Supply Chain resource. Participates in cost reduction initiatives between clinicians, operational leaders, and materials management. Is responsible for the management and delivery of products through vendors, the management and adherence to the overall procurement policy and service level agreement. Performs other duties as needed.
Requirements
- Minimum three years of experience in supply chain, contracts, negotiating, vendor relations or relevant experience required.
- Able to read; write and speak with professional quality.
- Able to use computer and software programs necessary to the position (e.g., Word, Excel, Power Point, Access).
- Able to operate/troubleshoot basic office equipment required for the position.
- Able to relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others.
- Able to provide leadership.

- Preferably in healthcare or non-profit setting.
