About The Position
Fluidstack is building civilization-scale infrastructure for AI, aiming to deliver 10 to 100s of GWs of compute faster than anyone else. This involves acquiring power, designing and building data centers, and operating them. The company emphasizes speed, scale, and a culture of autonomy, urgency, first-principles thinking, and a passion for building something that matters. The Supply Chain Team is critical to this mission, responsible for supplying tens of gigawatts of compute, qualifying and dual-sourcing critical equipment, and ensuring supply chain operations enable faster build times. They also focus on building accurate supply chain prediction modeling using AI to forecast lead times, demand, and disruptions. The Supply Chain Buyer role is responsible for executing purchasing across assigned categories, managing the order book, resolving vendor issues, and maintaining data integrity in the ERP system. The goal is to make supply chain a driver of speed, not a constraint, and to keep procurement permanently off the critical path.
Requirements
- Experience as a buyer in a fast-moving supply chain with a heavy PO load without drops.
- Ability to chase confirmations diligently.
- Experience expediting critical parts through constrained suppliers.
- Strong ERP hygiene: ensuring correct dates, prices, and quantities.
- Ability to escalate issues with facts assembled and a recommendation attached.
Nice To Haves
- NetSuite or Zip experience.
- Experience in data center, construction, or electronics categories.
- Basic understanding of freight.
- Excel and SQL fluency.
Responsibilities
- Execute purchasing across assigned categories: POs cut same-day, confirmations chased, and deliveries landed on schedule.
- Own the order book: statuses current, exceptions escalated, and no silent slips.
- Work vendor issues to ground: shortages, substitutions, and expedites, with the schedule impact quantified.
- Keep the data clean in the ERP so planning and finance run on truth.
