About The Position

The Otis NA Supply Chain organization is looking for a Supply Chain Business Partner Manager to support the Otis Service Center in NA. This role involves defining and implementing sourcing and procurement strategies for service and repair parts, collaborating with regional and global supply chain organizations, and identifying cost-saving opportunities. The manager will develop business cases, plan and execute RFPs/RFQs, drive new supplier qualification, and monitor supplier performance. Additionally, the role requires enabling cross-departmental collaboration, acting as an escalation point for supplier delivery issues, leading process improvement activities, and supporting reporting requirements.

Requirements

  • Proven experience leading sourcing projects and supplier negotiations
  • Knowledge of ERP supply management / purchasing applications
  • Proficiency at MS Excel and executive presentations
  • Strategic planning mindset, coupled with analytical and tactical skills
  • Demonstrated ability working with cross-functional teams and driving collaboration across areas
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential
  • Self-motivated, team-oriented person with good interpersonal skills and strong written and oral communication abilities
  • Well-versed in related business processes, associated systems, problem-solving methods, and analytical tools
  • Strong “customer centric” and “service oriented” mindset
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or Engineering
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a supply chain category management role for mechanical systems and components

Nice To Haves

  • JDE a plus
  • Knowledge of MS Access, Power BI and MS Project a plus
  • Knowledge of the elevator industry a plus
  • Background in manufacturing sectors such as construction, automotive or similar is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Define and implement sourcing and procurement strategies for service and repair parts
  • Collaborate with regional and global supply chain organizations to execute sourcing strategies
  • Identify & execute cost savings opportunities in support of material productivity annual savings goals
  • Develop business cases and ROI for cost savings initiatives
  • Plan and execute RFPs and RFQs to support engineering changes, new product introductions, dual sourcing opportunities, resourcing, risk mitigation strategies and savings initiatives
  • Drive new supplier/part qualification activities, from initial request through Supplier Quality Eng. approval
  • Monitor and manage assigned suppliers to drive quality, delivery, and cost performance indicators
  • Develop and maintain dashboards as applicable
  • Enable strong cross collaboration with other departments and suppliers to resolve supply and on-time delivery issues promptly
  • Act as the first escalation point within the OSC supply organization to address supplier delivery issues
  • Lead and participate in process improvement activities within Otis and with suppliers
  • Support weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting requirements
