About The Position

The Supply Chain Analytics Intern will support a quantitative project evaluating the trade-offs between the current centralized third-party logistics (3PL) distribution model and a potential direct-to-consumer (DTC) distribution model. This internship offers hands-on exposure to real supply chain decision-making by analyzing data, building business case models, and collaborating with cross-functional teams including IT, Accounting, and Supply Chain. As part of this role, the intern will also review the TRC-RDP intercompany transactional process and planning parameters to identify opportunities for improvement from both planning and execution perspectives.

Requirements

  • Currently in pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics Management, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, etc.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with Microsoft Access preferred
  • Experience building supply chain, financial, or business case models
  • Familiarity with data and systems tools such as ERP systems and Tableau preferred
  • Ability to analyze complex data sets and communicate findings clearly
  • Interest in supply chain strategy, logistics, and operations

Responsibilities

  • Shadow members of the Supply Chain team to understand and map the current RDP supply chain and intercompany transactional processes
  • Gain hands-on experience navigating Epicor (ERP) and Tableau to understand existing datasets and reporting tools
  • Build quantitative models in Excel to support improvements to intercompany transactional processes
  • Collaborate with IT, Accounting, and Supply Chain teams to evaluate and improve current processes
  • Analyze RDP logistics costs to determine true customer-level distribution costs
  • Evaluate discrepancies between contracted volumes and actual sales volumes
  • Assess the financial and operational impact of bringing distribution in-house versus maintaining a centralized 3PL model
  • Summarize findings and present data-driven insights to stakeholders
