Requirements

  • Experience in SAP is preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel is required, and MS Access is preferred.
  • Ability to comprehensively analyze a topic or business issue from beginning to end by developing the research criteria, identifying the appropriate data fields and correct data sources, and preparing a comprehensive report.
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of management professionally.
  • Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong project management; ability to work effectively under time constraints and deliver results by critical deadlines.
  • Multi-task on projects with the ability to prioritize tasks in a challenging environment.
  • Ability to analyze detail and perform structured decision-making on a daily basis.
  • High degree of initiative and ownership, attention to detail, and the discipline to follow through on assigned tasks.
  • General knowledge of industry practices, standards, and techniques.

  • Must demonstrate hands on experience in implementing and/or using ERP and related computer systems and technologies in areas of Demand Planning, MPS, RCCP, MRP, SFC, APS, Logistics and Inventory Management
  • Experienced in working in single and multiple Manufacturing Plant and Distribution Warehouse environments.
  • Ability to understand priority needs of the company and adjust when necessary or when directed
  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in field relevant to job description (e.g. Operations, Supply Chain Management, Business, Materials Management, Industrial Engineering), or equivalent job experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Production Planning or related field.
  • Proficiency in ERP/WMS systems
  • Work is performed in a designated professional office workstation and environment.
  • Extensive use of office equipment to include computer, calculator, copier, fax, and other business related machines and software.

Responsibilities

  • Generate Planned vs. Actual reporting of production schedules, identify main root causes for disparities, and ensure that the daily production is a reflection of such.
  • Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly production plans vs. actual and communicate changes and/or issues to all affected parties.
  • Monitor inventory levels to ensure health of facility storage capacity and ensure proper location of supply.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional groups in the organization to ensure continuity of process & setup in the DC.
  • Implement process improvements to enhance throughput, reduce costs, and improve service levels.
  • Support lean initiatives and automation projects within the fulfillment center.
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of business processes within the DC and warehouse areas and assist with implementing financial and cost savings opportunities.
  • Create, validate, and distribute reports as the DC organization requires.
  • Continuously maintain production schedules to enable excellent communication within the shipping department, Sales Operations, and Inventory teams to ensure the plan’s successful and accurate execution.
  • Monitor SAP output daily to maintain and execute the dynamic production plan.
  • Measure and report on the output of the production floor and ensure execution of plans.
  • Manage ramp-up plans as they relate to the manufacturing strategy, labor planning, and creating “pack and rack” purchase orders on a daily basis during “pack and rack” season.
  • Project-oriented duties aimed at continuous process improvement with the intent of improving the flow of finished goods through production to distribution while meeting production ramps and seasonality.
