About The Position

This full-time position involves developing automated reporting workflows, analyzing sales and inventory data, maintaining reporting packages, and supporting forecasting and planning activities. The role requires collaboration with internal US teams and China-based teams, including suppliers, to optimize supply chain operations, manage inventory, and ensure timely delivery. Key responsibilities include data validation, process improvement, and developing demand and supply planning models. The analyst will also be responsible for analyzing supplier performance, coordinating cross-regional mitigation actions, and guiding China-based teams on reporting and planning logic.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Business, Computer Science or a closely related quantitative discipline.
  • 2 years of post-baccalaureate experience working as Supply Chain Analyst, Operations Research Analyst, Logistics Analyst, Logistics Management Analyst, or closely related positions.
  • Minimum two years of working on SSRS database queries.
  • Minimum two years of working on Excel Power Query.
  • Minimum two years of working with Visual Studio.
  • Minimum two years of experience in data extraction automation.
  • Minimum two years of experience in sales & inventory datasets analysis.
  • Minimum two years of experience with Excel Pivot Tables.
  • Minimum two years of experience in inventory risks identification.
  • Minimum two years of experience in sales trends monitoring.
  • Minimum two years of experience with ERP (Sage).
  • Minimum two years of experience in forecasting.
  • Minimum two years of experience in replenishment analysis.
  • Minimum two years of experience in identifying workflow gaps.
  • Minimum two years of experience in demand reconciliation.

Responsibilities

  • Develop automated reporting workflows & interactive dashboards using SQL, SSRS database queries, Excel Power Query & Visual Studio to automate daily data extraction; refresh processes, reduce manual reporting time & improve internal data visibility.
  • Analyze sales & inventory datasets using SQL & Excel (Pivot Tables, moving averages, trend analysis) to identify demand patterns, inventory risks & operational bottlenecks; provide data-supported recommendations to internal U.S. teams.
  • Maintain daily, weekly & monthly reporting packages for inventory, demand & supply performance, ensuring accuracy, consistency & on-time delivery across U.S. business functions.
  • Convert business questions into precise data queries for report building, create ad hoc analytical reports; summarize key findings into clear, actionable insights for internal decision-making.
  • Monitor customer order patterns & sales trends across categories, customers, locations & product finishes using ERP (Sage) order histories & SQL-based dashboards, identifying demand anomalies or emerging stock risks.
  • Support forecasting & inventory planning activities by preparing usage-based forecast models, safety stock calculations & replenishment analyses aligned with CPIM (Certified in Planning & Inventory Management) planning methodologies.
  • Validate & cleanse large datasets extracted from ERP systems, including expired transfers, open purchase orders requiring updates, PLC (Product Life Cycle) items needing modifications & long-pending backorders.
  • Assist in internal process improvement initiatives by identifying workflow gaps in tasks such as PO importing, transfer creation & inbound information requests; recommend automation or standardization solutions.
  • Collaborate with internal U.S teams, including Sales, Operations & Finance-on routine planning tasks such as purchase order review, demand reconciliation & inventory tracking.
  • Develop demand & supply planning models using SQL, CPIM methodologies & statistical techniques to optimize replenishment strategies for US–China supply flows.
  • Design automated cross-border reporting systems consolidating data required by US & China teams, with standardized formats, regular refreshes & performance tracking.
  • Analyze delivery performance of China-based suppliers, including on-time delivery, lead-time behavior & shipment patterns, using ERP (Sage) & SQL analytics. These tasks involve communication in Mandarin Chinese with Chinese manufacturing plants regarding delivery performance & shipment coordination.
  • Communicate US demand priorities, forecast changes & inventory requirements to China planning teams & suppliers, including communications in Mandarin Chinese, to support accurate execution.
  • Support cross-time-zone coordination by engaging China teams during their working hours to address urgent supply disruptions or order changes.
  • Convert U.S. customer ordering patterns, category shifts & seasonal demand trends into actionable supply instructions for China suppliers.
  • Work with China-based suppliers to resolve data discrepancies & order or shipment issues thru data validation, corrective guidance & follow-up, including communications in Mandarin Chinese.
  • Lead supply readiness planning for new product onboarding & ramp-ups by aligning US forecast requirements with China suppliers’ capacity & timing constraints, as communicated with China teams in Mandarin Chinese when required.
  • Identify supply risks such as capacity constraints, shipment delays, or abnormal demand spikes & coordinate cross-regional mitigation actions.
  • Guide China-based teams on interpreting automated reports, KPI definitions & US planning logic, including training & explanations in Mandarin Chinese, to ensure consistent execution across regions.
