About The Position

The Supply Chain Analyst will support the Action Stainless division by analyzing inventory, purchasing activity, and supply chain data to align supply with customer demand and business objectives. This person will develop reporting methods and analytical tools to support purchasing decisions, inventory optimization, and operational performance. The Supply Chain Analyst will collaborate closely with purchasing, accounting, operations, and sales teams to monitor inventory performance, aged inventory, stock trends, and supply challenges. This role will conduct research on market conditions and provide data-driven recommendations to support purchasing strategy and inventory management. Additionally, the Analyst will support business projects, reporting initiatives, process improvements, and evolving business requirements across the division.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in supply chain, purchasing, inventory analysis, accounting, financial analysis, or a related analytical role
  • Strong experience with inventory analysis, aged inventory reporting, and business analytics
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including reporting, formulas, PivotTables, and data analysis
  • Experience working within ERP systems and inventory-driven environments
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong organization and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Accounting, Finance, Business Analytics, or other business-related field
  • Previous stainless, steel, specialty metals, manufacturing, or industrial distribution experience
