About The Position

Wieland is hiring a Supply Chain Analyst. The Supply Chain Analyst will be responsible for driving Wieland Diversified's success by strategically managing the procurement of materials and developing innovative product strategies. The Supply Chain Analyst will lead the development and execution of sourcing strategies, supplier relationship management, and product lifecycle management to optimize costs, ensure timely delivery, and support new product launches. This position requires a strong leader with a proven track record in procurement, product management, and a deep understanding of market dynamics.This role is located in East Longmeadow, MA and will be fully on-site.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement innovative procurement strategies that deliver cost savings while ensuring a reliable supply of high-quality materials.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, negotiating favorable contracts and ensuring consistent performance. Conduct regular supplier evaluations and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Oversee the team's assessment of potential risks associated with contracts and agreements, developing mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions to the supply chain.
  • Continuously analyze procurement spend, identify cost-saving opportunities, and promote a culture of long-term cost reduction.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to optimize inventory levels, minimizing carrying costs while ensuring sufficient stock to meet production demands.
  • Monitor the flow of goods and services, ensuring timely delivery and efficient logistics operations.
  • Develop and deploy comprehensive product strategies that align with Wieland Diversified's overall business objectives and sales strategies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the launch of new products, identifying and securing reliable suppliers for required materials.
  • Manage the entire product lifecycle, from ideation to phase-out, optimizing product performance and profitability.
  • Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to inform product development and procurement strategies.
  • Optimize inventory levels across the various alloys and sizes by monitoring consumption rates, feedback from sales, lead times, and minimum order quantities to ensure product availability while minimizing overstock.
  • Maintain open and effective communication with management, providing regular updates on procurement activities, supply chain performance, and product development initiatives.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders across various departments, including sales, operations, quality control, and finance.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the supply chain and product management functions, identifying and implementing best practices
