About The Position

The Supply Chain Analyst plays a crucial role in optimizing the supply chain operations by analyzing data and processes to ensure efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery of products or services. This role involves close collaboration with internal teams, suppliers, and logistics partners to monitor inventory levels, forecast demand, and identify opportunities for improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or Logistics or related field is preferred.
  • 2-4 years of experience in supply chain analysis, logistics, or a related role.
  • Experience in data analysis and process improvement is highly preferred.
  • Proficiency in supply chain management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle), Excel, and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
  • Demonstrated ability to identify problems and implement effective solutions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong ability to interpret complex data sets and translate them into actionable insights.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales performance data, market trends, and competitive intelligence.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with external partners.
  • High degree of accuracy and thoroughness in handling supply chain data and processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Nice To Haves

  • APICS or similar supply chain certifications (preferred but not required).

Responsibilities

  • Collect, analyze, and interpret supply chain, inventory, sales and other data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for process improvements.
  • Monitor inventory levels, ensuring optimal stock to meet demand without incurring excess costs or risks of stockouts.
  • Review orders and potential orders to analyze and determine how to fulfill customer orders.
  • Determine best shipping method, as well as schedule the freight to ensure the material is available to fulfill customer orders.
  • Determine lead times with information gathered from cross-functional teams.
  • Work with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and maintain strong relationships to address potential issues or delays.
  • Identify and implement supply chain optimization initiatives, including cost-saving opportunities, process automation, and reducing lead times.
  • Monitor supply chain performance metrics (e.g., on-time delivery, cost per unit, lead time) and generate regular reports for management.
  • Identify potential risks in the supply chain, such as disruptions or quality issues, and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Leverage supply chain management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or custom ERP systems) to track shipments, manage inventory, and generate reports.
  • Work closely with procurement, operations, logistics, and sales teams to ensure a seamless flow of products from suppliers to customers.
  • Train new hires for the inventory and inbound shipments to plants on an as-needed basis.
  • Other duties as assigned.
