About The Position

Nomad GCS is currently seeking a Level I Supply Chain Analyst. This position requires that you must be a US Citizen for consideration and meet all Federal Contractor employee requirements. The Supply Chain Analyst is a multi-level role (Levels 1–4) responsible for driving data-driven execution and continuous improvement across materials planning, sourcing and purchasing, inventory management, and warehouse operations. This position plays a critical role in ensuring material availability, inventory accuracy, and disciplined execution of ERP transactions across manufacturing. At all levels, the role partners cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Materials Management, Engineering, Quality, Finance, Project Management, and Manufacturing to identify issues, analyze data, and implement solutions that improve operational performance and support business objectives. The position progresses from foundational operational support and reporting (Level 1) to independent analysis and process ownership (Level 2), then to cross-functional leadership and system optimization (Level 3), and ultimately to enterprise-level strategy, governance, and performance framework development (Level 4). Throughout all levels, the Supply Chain Analyst is expected to: Leverage Excel, Power BI and ERP systems to transform data into actionable insights Improve and standardize end-to-end supply chain processes Develop and maintain SOPs and work instructions as control mechanisms Support audit readiness through documentation, traceability, and transaction discipline Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on accuracy, efficiency, and reliability

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of inventory control, materials management, and warehouse processes in a manufacturing environment.
  • Foundational understanding of how ERP transactions impact physical inventory and downstream operations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel (formulas, basic lookups, pivot tables) and comfort working with structured datasets.
  • Ability to interpret data and communicate findings clearly.
  • Strong written communication skills with the ability to draft clear, operator-focused work instructions.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work with minimal supervision as skills develop.
  • High school diploma or GED required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, or a related field preferred.
  • 0–2 years of experience in supply chain support, inventory control, materials, or warehouse operations preferred.
  • Demonstrated Excel capability for operational reporting and basic analysis.
  • Exposure to ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite preferred.
  • Experience writing or updating work instructions/SOPs preferred; able to provide examples if available.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor inventory transactions and stock levels to support inventory accuracy and material availability; escalate issues as needed.
  • Support cycle count execution, reconciliation, and follow-up corrective actions to improve accuracy.
  • Support receiving, picking, staging, and material issuance processes by helping maintain documentation and ensuring transactions align with physical activity.
  • Assist materials planning and purchasing teams with basic shortage reports, open order status reporting, and data validation.
  • Analyze inventory and material flow data at a basic level to identify discrepancies and trends; elevate potential process gaps.
  • Prepare recurring metrics, dashboards, and reports using established templates.
  • Support audit readiness by ensuring inventory data, transactions, and documentation are accurate and current.
  • Draft and maintain work instructions and SOPs for routine supply chain and warehouse tasks under guidance.
  • Work closely with warehouse and production teams to ensure documented processes reflect actual execution.
  • Identify opportunities to improve materials flow, inventory accuracy, and transaction discipline and communicate ideas to leadership.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
