About The Position
AbbVie's Supply Chain Accelerated Learning Experience (SCALE) is a unique opportunity designed to develop the next generation of Supply Chain leaders. As part of our broader Supply Chain Talent Strategy, SCALE provides early-career professionals with foundational experiences across key areas of the supply chain while building the business, technical, and leadership capabilities needed to thrive in a rapidly evolving global environment. Through a series of rotational assignments, participants gain exposure to critical supply chain functions, work on meaningful business challenges, and develop the skills needed to accelerate readiness for future leadership opportunities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or closely related field.
- Must graduate with a bachelor’s degree prior to the intended full-time start date.
- Demonstrated leadership through academic, extracurricular, internship, or work experiences.
- Ability to quickly gain knowledge, understanding, or skill and willingly absorb and comprehend AbbVie processes, policies, and methods.
- Interacts well with diverse groups within engineering and maintains strong working relationship with internal and external collaborators.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in team-based environments.
- Willingness to participate in rotational assignments and relocate based on business needs.
Responsibilities
- Analyze supply, demand, inventory, logistics, and operational data to identify risks, opportunities, and solutions that improve business performance.
- Support planning and execution activities across key supply chain functions, including demand planning, supply planning, logistics, manufacturing support, and inventory management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve complex business challenges and drive alignment across the end-to-end supply chain.
- Develop data-driven insights and recommendations that improve service levels, operational efficiency, and supply chain effectiveness.
- Contribute to strategic initiatives focused on digital transformation, analytics, process optimization, and operational excellence.
- Apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills to identify process improvements and implement innovative solutions that create business value.
- Build foundational expertise in supply chain operations, business acumen, project management, and decision-making within a global healthcare organization.
- Prepare and deliver presentations, project updates, and recommendations to stakeholders and business leaders.
- Develop influential partnerships and strengthen communication, stakeholder management, and leadership capabilities through collaboration across the organization.
- Demonstrate continuous growth in supply chain knowledge, strategic thinking, and leadership potential while preparing for future manager-level opportunities within AbbVie's Supply Chain organization.
