About The Position

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Supply Base Management Specialist (Level 4) to join our dynamic team in Tukwila, Washington. This position is on the Supply Chain New Business team supporting the E-7 Programs. The work scope will include proposal support, management through the Enterprise Standard Gate process, review and approval of Priced Bill of Materials, Bid Lists and Buy-to Packages, and Procurement Planning. Experience working Truth in Negotiations (TINA) regulations is preferred.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree, (A Bachelor's degree is defined as any four-year degree, or greater, in a Supply Chain Industry field of study)
  • More than 5 years of experience in negotiating contracts or managing supplier performance
  • More than 5 years of experience managing suppliers/vendors to deliver products and services
  • This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. (An Interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post Start is required.)
  • This position requires ability to obtain program access, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship only.

  • This position must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

  • Advanced degree (e.g. Bachelor, Master, etc.) preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Leads supplier/subcontractor business relationships, in-service requirements and performance to contractual obligations and expectations
  • Manages and monitors supplier quality, delivery and financial performance
  • Leads the development of mitigations plans to avoid risk and resolve issues impacting customers and programs
  • Develops and implements supplier base plans to support customer, program and commodity strategies
  • Analyzes supplier and business processes and procedures to identify improvement opportunities and incorporate into contracting strategies
  • Acts as primary point of contact for suppliers, customers and programs
