About The Position

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Supply Base Management Specialist to join our dynamic team in Tukwila, Washington. This position facilitates supplier/subcontractor business relationships, in-service requirements and performance to contractual obligations and expectations. It develops and participates in the implementation of supply base plans to support customer, program and commodity strategies. The role analyzes and monitors supplier quality, delivery and financial performance data to identify risks, issues and opportunities, and develops mitigation plans. It also identifies and participates in supplier and business improvement activities, and provides outcomes for potential integration into contracting strategies.

Requirements

  • More than 5 years of experience in negotiating contracts or managing supplier performance
  • More than 5 years of experience managing suppliers/vendors to deliver products and services
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. (An Interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post Start is required.)
  • Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree, (A Bachelor's degree is defined as any four-year degree, or greater, in a Supply Chain Industry field of study)
  • More than 5 years of experience in program management within supplier management
  • More than 5 years of experience in root cause analysis and corrective action
  • More than 5 years of experience working with Supplier Management, Supply Chain, and/or Procurement practices and processes
  • More than 5 years of working with U.S. Department of Defense contracts
  • Typically 10 or more years’ related work experience or relevant military experience.
  • Advanced degree (e.g. Bachelor, Master, etc.) preferred, but not required.
