About The Position

The Supply Associate supports CarMax service operations by ensuring technicians have the correct parts when needed. The role manages inventory accuracy, processes incoming shipments, and provides customer service to internal and external customers. It is suited to detail-oriented individuals who can thrive in a fast-paced environment and contribute to a quality automotive experience.

The associate identifies and provides parts for customer vehicles, receives and processes shipments, maintains stock accuracy, controls supplies, allocates parts through CarMax internal systems, and returns incorrect or defective parts to vendors. The position also requires following Environmental, Health and Safety requirements and keeping the work area clean and orderly.

Requirements

• Complete Supply Associate Workstation Certifications and adhere to competency standards.
• Ability to read, interpret, and accurately record data.
• Intermediate computer skills, including spreadsheet proficiency.
• Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with associates and vendors.
• Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand or walk for extended periods.
• Effective verbal communication skills for customer and team interactions.

Responsibilities

• Identify and provide the correct parts for customer vehicles.
• Receive, inspect, and process incoming parts shipments into inventory.
• Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts and proper stocking levels.
• Control supplies to minimize waste and improve efficiency.
• Allocate parts using CarMax internal systems for smooth workflow.
• Return incorrect or defective parts to vendors promptly.
• Follow CarMax Environmental, Health and Safety (EH&S) requirements and maintain a clean and orderly work area.

Benefits

• Up to 48 hours of paid sick time per year, accrued each pay period, for eligible full-time hourly or commission/incentive-eligible associates.
• Between 80 and 200 hours of vacation time per year after a 90-day waiting period, depending on years of continuous service, for eligible full-time hourly or commission/incentive-eligible associates.
• Eight hours of pay for each of six scheduled paid holidays per year, plus one floating holiday, for eligible full-time hourly or commission/incentive-eligible associates.
• Holiday Premium Pay when an eligible associate works on a scheduled holiday due to business need.
• Paid time away with no specified limit as needed for sick leave, vacation, bereavement, jury duty, holidays, and floating holidays for full-time salaried associates, subject to manager approval.
