Supply and Inventory Planner II
About The Position
The Supply and Inventory Planner II will contribute to coordinating end-to-end long-term supply chain strategies across networks to address capacity challenges and ensure steady inventory supply to support business goals. In this role, you will monitor key integrated business planning performance indicators, cost to serve performance data and help coordinate cross-functional work teams to meet service level agreements. This position is in Cargill's specialized portfolio enterprise where they serve diverse businesses who support unique customers or markets, including animal nutrition and health, bioindustrial, road safety salt and Cargill joint ventures.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Minimum of two years of related work experience
Nice To Haves
- Three years of experience with at least one in supply and inventory planning
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel
- Experience with SAP MRP, SAP IBP, Tableau, and Power BI
- Experience with accounts payable processes and vendor management
Responsibilities
- Maintain data relevant to network supply planning activities including product and location master data.
- Generate and execute cycle and safety stock plans for assigned locations, using the approved supply plan inputs.
- Develop gap coverage plans during inventory shortages.
- Create requirements plan and long-term supply plan for assigned products and locations as input for the integrated business planning cycle.
- Partner with Sourcing and Accounts Payable teammates to ensure positive vendor relationships.
- Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.
