About The Position

SOVRA is seeking a Supplier Success Manager to support new and expanding programs in states like Maryland, New York, and New Jersey. This role is crucial for enhancing supplier support as SOVRA's public procurement programs grow. The position involves onboarding suppliers, developing strategies for contract promotion, and engaging directly through various communication channels. The Supplier Success Manager will collaborate with internal teams such as account management, supplier enablement, supplier compliance, and program success to ensure a cohesive supplier experience. The core of the work is connecting suppliers with opportunities to serve local government agencies via cooperative contracting, requiring strong communication, relationship-building, market planning, and accuracy suitable for public sector interactions. This is a remote position based in the US, with a preference for candidates on the East Coast, particularly in New England.

Requirements

  • 3-6+ years of experience in customer success, account management, partnerships, or client services, with a proven track record of responsibility for client outcomes.
  • Experience working with the public sector, government procurement, and/or cooperative purchasing, with an understanding of how these organizations operate.
  • Experience in SaaS or GovTech, with the ability to connect programs or platforms to practical customer and supplier needs.
  • Demonstrated ability in consultative communication, relationship building through live conversations, and effective facilitation of webinars or virtual events.
  • Experience in developing and managing business plans, strategic account plans, or marketing plans, and executing them.
  • Strong operational discipline, including organization across CRM activities, follow-through, managing detailed program information, and coordinating with multiple cross-functional partners.
  • Experience working directly with suppliers or vendors, assisting them in understanding, adopting, and promoting programs.
  • Authorization to work in the US; sponsorship for work visas or transfers is not provided.

Responsibilities

  • Onboard suppliers into SOVRA programs and guide them through the necessary information and actions for effective participation.
  • Lead one-to-one supplier meetings to clarify program opportunities, address inquiries, and establish practical next steps.
  • Develop and execute consistent outreach cadences via live conversations, email, webinars, virtual events, and co-marketing activities.
  • Assist suppliers in creating marketing plans to promote their awarded contracts to local government agencies.
  • Maintain persistent follow-through on outreach efforts, adjusting approaches while ensuring communication remains useful and professional.
  • Develop an informed perspective on the supplier market to shape vendor outreach and contract promotion strategies.
  • Create and manage business, account, or marketing plans that align with supplier needs and program priorities.
  • Collaborate with account management, supplier enablement, supplier compliance, and program success teams to ensure a unified supplier experience.
  • Represent SOVRA at conferences and trade shows, with an estimated travel requirement of up to 25%.
