As a vendor relations advisor at Starbucks, you will help shape the customer and partner experience by ensuring our outsourced providers deliver consistent, high-quality services across our retail portfolio. You will manage supplier performance for essential soft and hard services, such as MEP (mechanical, electric, plumbing) or pest control, ensuring the supplier is compliant to our service level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs). You will drive efficiency and continuous improvement through data and collaboration. By partnering across teams, you will help scale solutions that support growth and uphold the Starbucks experience.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working with vendor performance and contract management
  • High school diploma/GED, US military service or equivalent experience
  • Working knowledge on how vendor data affects procurement and payment
  • Able to work independently with strong verbal and written communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience working within Supply Chain or Sourcing a plus

Responsibilities

  • Document and lead the development of the vendor lifecycle processes such as qualifications, contracting, onboarding, and performance, leading the review of milestones for business partners.
  • Create and support contractual expectations between Starbucks key service providers, requesting support from cross-functional teams as needed.
  • Develop and sustain strong relationships with internal contact center business partners/stakeholders to ensure alignment on requirements & delivery of business unit priorities.
  • Prepare and analyze data to drive decision making, ad-hoc reports, status updates and contributions to the development of reporting systems.
  • Lead projects and continuous improvements to deliver new capabilities in vendor performance, adding scope and preventing negative service trends.
  • Develop performance improvement plans to address gaps and execute while responding to escalations and questions from vendors as necessary.

  • If you are working in CA, CO, IL, LA, ME, MA, NE, ND or RI, you will accrue vacation up to a maximum of 120 hours (190 in CA) for roles below director and 200 hours (316 in CA) for roles at director or above.
  • For roles in other states, you will be granted vacation time starting at 120 hours annually for roles below director and 200 hours annually for roles director and above.
