About The Position

The Supplier Quality Technician III performs incoming quality control (IQC) inspections to ensure incoming materials comply with work instructions, specifications, and customer requirements. The role supports the IQC Leader by inspecting materials, reporting inspection results, maintaining inspection equipment and visual aids, and ensuring results are accurately recorded in SAP. The technician also supports other IQC inspectors, performs First Article Inspections, escalates quality issues and trends, and helps train inspectors when new methods or equipment are introduced.

Requirements

IPC-A-600 Acceptability of Printed Boards certification.
Ability to present information effectively and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Ability to define problems, collect data, and establish facts based on data.
Ability to operate a personal computer, including a Windows-based operating system and related software.
Basic PC skills and knowledge of Jabil software packages.
Ability to write simple correspondence, read reports, and understand visual aids.
Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out simple instructions and handle standardized situations with few or no variables.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to perform basic arithmetic with whole numbers, fractions, and decimals, and to compute rates, ratios, and percentages and interpret graphs.

Responsibilities

Read drawings and interpret special instructions for inspection of incoming material.
Use inspection equipment to determine whether materials comply with specifications.
Complete inspections within IQC capabilities and report results to the IQC Leader.
Follow work instructions and specifications when conducting material inspections.
Perform First Article Inspections and collect data for reporting to the IQC Leader.
Ensure tools, equipment, and visual aids needed for accurate work are in proper working order and at the latest revision.
Support IQC inspectors in verifying suspect incoming materials.
Create and release Quality Notifications in SAP as needed.
Contribute to area 5S activities.
Use SAP effectively and ensure inspection results are recorded correctly.
Escalate issues and quality trends to department leadership.
Train IQC inspectors when new inspection methods or equipment are introduced.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
