About The Position

This internship will follow an in-person model. Interns may be based at the Stellantis Headquarters and Technology Center in Auburn Hills, MI, or at a Stellantis manufacturing facility in the Metro Detroit area. Assignments may require travel to suppliers and manufacturing facilities. Relocation assistance may be available for candidates who meet specific eligibility criteria. The internship program is scheduled to run from May through August 2027.

Interns will be assigned to a department based on the candidate's background and skill set. The assignments are project-oriented, meaningful to the department and allow the intern to provide valuable contributions. Interns experience a sense of personal accomplishment and learn about the corporate business culture through work assignments, structured activities, and exclusive intern networking events. Interns that demonstrate outstanding qualities may be invited back for a return internship the following summer or may be considered for full-time positions.

Requirements

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or university in one of the following engineering disciplines: Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Industrial, Aerospace/Aeronautical, Biomedical/Biomechanical/Bioengineering, Welding, Materials, Metallurgical, Mechatronics or related field
• Completion of freshman year or higher at an accredited college or university by Spring 2027
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite applications
• Able to work full-time, 40 hours per week during the internship
• Willingness to relocate for internship, if applicable
• Ability to travel to suppliers and manufacturing facilities
• Must be willing and able to work in a manufacturing/plant environment
• Authorized to work in the United States

Responsibilities

• Partner with suppliers to review manufacturing processes, develop quality systems and ensure the highest quality components will be provided for our vehicles.
• Ensure all supplied parts are robust, repeatable and conform to dimensional and performance requirements.
• Strive for best-in-class quality and warranty by developing suppliers who provide zero defects and exceed customer expectations.
• Utilize skills to identify and resolve vehicle issues at both Stellantis manufacturing plants and supplier facilities.
