About The Position

The Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) is responsible for ensuring supplier-delivered products and services meet GDMS quality standards, while also providing quality support to the manufacturing floor as needed. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
  • 3+ years of supplier quality or manufacturing quality experience
  • Proficiency in reviewing engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions for conformance to requirements
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001, GD&T, and quality management systems
  • Experience managing supplier documentation, FAIRs, and quality plans
  • Department of Defense Secret security clearance is obtainable within a reasonable amount of time after hire.
  • Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.

  • Experience in supplier quality or manufacturing quality
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001, GD&T, and quality management systems
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.)
  • Six Sigma or CQE certification
  • Background in defense or aerospace manufacturing

Responsibilities

  • Evaluating, qualifying, and monitoring suppliers for compliance with quality requirements
  • Conducting supplier audits, assessments, and corrective action follow-ups
  • Managing supplier nonconformances and driving root cause/corrective action (RCCA)
  • Supporting nonconformance disposition and MRB activities on the manufacturing floor
  • Participating in first article inspections and production readiness reviews
