Quality Engineer
About The Position
Volt is immediately hiring a Supplier Quality Engineer in San Diego, CA. As a Supplier Quality Engineer, you will review supplier data to verify compliance with engineering drawings and specifications. You will also review non-conforming parts in MRB (Material Review Board) and determine appropriate dispositions. Additionally, you will monitor and report on supplier defect rates, guide suppliers in corrective actions, and support suppliers in implementing process improvements and quality assurance plans. You will participate in supplier quality improvement activities, working with suppliers to develop and improve quality levels.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree (e.g. Engineering, Industrial technology, Manufacturing Technology)
- Extensive experience in supplier quality, manufacturing standards, and quality assurance.
- Technical knowledge and exposure with shop operations and manufacturing processes
- Experience using quality / statistical tools and methodologies (e.g. FMEA, PPAP, RCCA)
