About The Position

Are you passionate about working together with our suppliers to ensure their performance meets quality and reliability expectations of SWEP? This role serves as the primary quality liaison between SWEP and its supply base and drives Global supplier quality development, improvement processes and activities. You will belong to a global team responsible for managing the quality aspects of materials and services provided by our external suppliers. You will work with both internal and external stakeholders supporting the process of development. SWEP ensures efficient heat transfer where less means more. Requirements

  • Minimum a bachelor’s degree in technical, Industrial (mechanical) Engineering and Management or equivalent experience
  • 5 years’ experience of working with supplier quality assurance to be able to independently work and drive different initiatives, based upon knowledge of quality improvement tools (i.e. SPC, sampling plans, FMEA, Process capability, DOE, Gage R&R) and working knowledge of ISO / PED /ASME standards.
  • You need to have experience from working as an auditor.
  • Strong communication skills in English, Spanish language is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Management of a portfolio of suppliers covering sheet stainless steel and steel machining. It can be up to 10 suppliers of various sizes assigned directly to this role in the Americas region and up to 40 suppliers globally split between 3 Supplier Quality Engineers in the regions.
  • Conduct supplier audits and assessments to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Monitor supplier performance and drive corrective actions for non-conformances.
  • Develop the right level of supplier quality assurance processes and tools and then implement them in each plant in region and worldwide.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to establish and maintain quality control processes.
  • Review and approve supplier quality plans, inspection procedures, and test methods.
  • Ensure that all supplied materials and components meet specified requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation related to supplier quality activities.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to suppliers on quality-related matters.
  • Work closely with engineering, procurement, and production teams to resolve quality issues.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration between internal and external stakeholders.
