About The Position

Responsible for the implementation and maintenance of the quality management systems and the coordination of all document control actions in support of the Quality Systems.

Requirements

  • Four-year college degree, or equivalent experience in an automotive manufacturing environment.
  • Working knowledge of the AIAG Core Tools (PPAP, SPC, APQP, FMEA, MSA).
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Computer literacy and basic skill with MS Office Software (Word, Excel, Outlook) at a minimum.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to handle, manipulate, or feel objects, tools or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, talk and hear.
  • Occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

  • IATF Certification and VDA Certification preferred.
  • Certified ISO/TS16949 Internal Auditor with a minimum of 3 years internal audit experience, preferred.
  • Bi-lingual (Spanish or German) is a plus.
  • Formability knowledge is a plus.
  • Knowledge of assembly process for automotive sheet metal assemblies with different types of welding technologies is a plus.
  • Problem Solving, SPC and GD&T is a plus.
  • SAP knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Develop new components from a systemic point of view, including risk analysis, and system audits according to Gestamp requirements and international standards (IATF 16949/VDA 6.3, others if applicable).
  • Conduct and manage periodical systemic audits with Corporate for shared suppliers.
  • Follow up on PPAP according to Gestamp requirements, including validation, documentation, and closure.
  • Manage supplier claims, containments, and chargebacks creation considering the Gestamp Suppliers Manual.
  • Provide feedback to the plant on any issues or opportunities for improvement from suppliers.
  • Track key quality indicators such as supplier scorecards and provide action plans for risky suppliers to the plant.
  • Ensure the incoming inspection of materials is completed on schedule and identify areas for improvement with the team.
  • Manage rejected material in QHLD from suppliers to ensure timely disposal.
