Woodward’s Industrial Product Division in Fort Collins, Colorado is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer II or III who is responsible for evaluating supplier performance, identifying and resolving quality issues, and driving continuous improvement across the supply base. This role partners with procurement, engineering, and production teams to ensure suppliers meet quality, compliance, and business requirements. The position also supports quality documentation, reporting, supplier audits, and corrective action activities to improve product and process quality.

Requirements

• Expertise in implementing and maintaining quality management systems to ensure supplier compliance and product standards.
• Proficient in using statistical tools and methodologies to analyze quality data and drive decision making.
• Skilled in conducting comprehensive supplier audits to assess and improve supplier quality performance.
• Advanced ability to identify and resolve complex quality issues through systematic root cause analysis techniques.
• Experienced in managing quality improvement projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely and effective results.
• Strong capability to convey complex quality concepts clearly and effectively to diverse stakeholders.
• Adept at leading teams to develop innovative solutions for intricate quality challenges.
• Exceptional analytical skills to evaluate quality metrics and implement data driven improvements.
• Competent in leading functional teams or projects, guiding them through moderate risk and complexity.
• Effective in negotiating quality requirements and standards with suppliers to achieve mutual goals.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• 5+ years of experience in supplier quality, manufacturing, or quality engineering.
• Advanced knowledge of ISO 9001/AS9100 requirements, and GD&T.
• Expertise in RCCA, 8D, A3, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC, DoE, and supplier audits.
• Proven ability to lead supplier development, continuous improvement, and cross-functional projects.
• LSS Black Belt, and Auditor certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conducts comprehensive assessments of supplier quality systems to ensure adherence to company standards.
• Leads in-depth investigations into supplier-related quality issues, implementing effective corrective actions.
• Develops and drives ongoing quality improvement initiatives with suppliers to enhance product and process performance.
• Partners with internal departments and suppliers to align quality objectives and resolve complex quality challenges.
• Monitors and analyzes supplier quality metrics, providing actionable insights and recommendations for enhancement.
