About The Position

This is a deployed position in the Marrietta, Georgia area. The selected candidate will be responsible for achieving total quality performance across multiple sites for strategic suppliers that produce major airframe and systems components. The selected candidate will be accountable for collaborating with functional organizations and leadership at the supplier sites and at LM Aero to solve technical and contractual issues, and for ensuring supplier performance is aligned with quality goals while sustaining production delivery requirements. This position supports a facility that may require special access. The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Requirements

Bachelors degree from an accredited college
Ample experience with root cause and corrective action (RCCA)
Experience developing and maintaining Effective Customer relationship building and adapting to a highly dynamic environment
Experience in the fields of quality science, quality engineering, and/or subcontract management
Working knowledge background in GD&T, Inspection methods, Tooling, AS9100, AS9102.
Working knowledge of Six Sigma, preventive tools PDCA, PFMEA, Mistake Proofing and Gap Analysis.
Knowledge and effectively apply root cause analysis, Cause Mapping, Cause & Effect diagrams, Pick Charts and, structured RCCA for effective corrective action.
Must be a US Citizen.

Nice To Haves

Major assembly or Teammate F-35 experience
F-35 Program knowledge, including the ability to understand F-35 engineering data packages, including GD&T requirements, material and process specifications, and schematics
Familiarity with the manufacturing and inspection techniques for one or more of the following types of parts: metallic machined or formed, composite laminate or bonded assemblies, air vehicle and missions systems (electronics), hydraulic or pneumatic components
Work related experience with planning and executing AS9102 First Article Inspection based requirements
Green Belt or Black Belt, CQE certification
Demonstrated quality science expertise in one or more of the following: statistical analysis, statistical process control, sampling, six sigma, FAI, PPAP, PFMAE process auditing or validation, root cause analysis and corrective action validations, and supplier quality management
Excellent interpersonal skills needed for collaboration, communication, and presentations at working and leadership levels

Responsibilities

Achieving total quality performance across multiple sites for strategic suppliers that produce major airframe and systems components.
Collaborating with functional organizations and leadership at the supplier sites and at LM Aero to solve technical and contractual issues.
Ensuring supplier performance is aligned with quality goals while sustaining production delivery requirements.
Developing and executing plans that ensure long term flow of defect-free products in support of LM Aero production.
Implementing supplier improvement activities.
Developing successful performance improvement plans (e.g. return-to-green plans, zero-defect plans, supplier excellence plans).
Interacting with government customers (JPO, DCMA, DoD).
