About The Position

The Supplier Quality Assurance Audition plans, schedules, and conducts performance-based audits and source activities of suppliers and generates corresponding reports in accordance with applicable procedures. Location: Covert, MI (On‑site)

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a technical field or equivalent work experience.
  • Four years of nuclear power plant experience in the field of quality assurance or supervisory experience in plant operations.
  • Requires minimum one year of experience in the overall implementation of the Quality Assurance Program and ANSI/ANS N45.2.23-1978 certification.
  • Knowledge of Nuclear and other regulatory quality / QAPM requirements.
  • Knowledge of nuclear industry regulations and experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft desktop applications.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments.
  • General understanding of nuclear power operations.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Lead Auditor Certification
  • ANSI/ASME N45.2.23-1978 certification

Nice To Haves

  • Previous NUPIC auditor training a plus

Responsibilities

  • Develops audit plans, performs supplier audits, and leads audit teams in support of station safety related procurement activities.
  • Support NUPIC and other similar industry related organizations by performing and leading supplier audits.
  • Ensures quality and accuracy of QA documentation. Supports the QA organization with the roll up of issues to identify adverse trends in supplier quality.
  • Supports Supplier QA Supervisor with maintenance and upkeep of Quality Suppliers List (QSL).
  • Reviews supplier performance and, based on performance and risk insights, selects areas for surveillance and observation if required.
  • Support station internal audit activities if required.
  • Effectively communicates with all levels of station and supplier personnel.
  • Is familiar with current nuclear QA practices, codes, standards, regulations and nuclear plant work processes.
  • Exercises stop work authority over non-conforming production and engineering activities that present a significant risk to plant equipment and/or personnel.
