Panthalassa•Portland, OR
•$110,000 - $160,000

About The Position

Panthalassa is hiring a Supplier Industrialization Engineer focused on steel fabrication, including welding and machining. The role bridges early product designs and external manufacturing at third-party vendors, covering supplier sourcing assessments, industrialization, and quality control. As the company scales, the engineer will lead the transition of components from low-volume production to high-volume production suppliers. The role calls for an engineer with a technical mindset, strong supplier-management expertise, and excellent communication skills. The company encourages candidates from varied backgrounds who can thrive in a creative, scrappy, collaborative environment. The company strongly prefers the position to be based in person at its Portland, Oregon office, but will consider exceptional remote candidates. The role requires approximately 35–40% travel, potentially including international travel; remote candidates should expect closer to 50% travel for regular office visits. Intermittent longer hours and weekend work may be needed for critical needs, while the company offers flexible working hours and flexible PTO.
