About The Position
Applied Materials is seeking a Summer 2027 Supplier Engineer Intern to join its AGS Supplier Engineering Group, an international team of engineers that works with suppliers to validate manufacturing capability and ensure parts meet Applied Materials drawings and requirements. The role works across engineering, quality, supplier chain, and project management teams to support product development and supplier quality.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in any engineering discipline.
Nice To Haves
- GPA of 3.0 or above preferred.
Responsibilities
- Work with New Product Development teams to ensure engineering drawing requirements are clear and complete, and communicate expectations to suppliers.
- Engage with New Product Introduction teams to involve suppliers in developing and reviewing specifications and promote design for manufacturability.
- Use project management skills and quality tools to investigate alternate manufacturing processes that may reduce cost or improve quality and reliability.
- Participate continuously in the Supplier Selection Process to develop a supply base that provides competitive advantage in quality, value/cost, delivery, and technology.
- Assist with quality problem resolution and incident management.
- Work with special-process suppliers in areas such as cleaning, plating, anodization, surface treatments, and coatings.
- Participate in supplier quality resolution.
- Partner with Supplier Chain, Project Management, Engineering, and Quality.
