The position responsible for performing daytime polysomnography; and conducting specialized (MSLT, etc.) sleep studies and scoring. Analyze recorded data according to the current AASM standard. Scores sleep/wake stages by applying professionally accepted guidelines. Score clinical events (such as respiratory events, cardiac events, limb movements, arousals etc.) according to center specific protocols. Generate accurate reports by tabulating clinical event data and discussing results and treatment outcomes with lab physicians. Provide Quality Assurance feedback for every study and staff education for areas of concern when necessary. Must be able to successfully complete monthly Inter-scorer Reliability Exams according to the system standard.
