About The Position
Human Touch Home Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) Supervisory Nurse to oversee our non-skilled/personal care services in Washington, DC. This role is ideal for an RN who enjoys combining nursing expertise with leadership while supporting Home Health Aides and ensuring clients receive safe, compassionate, and dependable care at home.
Requirements
- Active Washington, DC Registered Nurse License Required
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Current CPR/BLS Certification
- Previous Nursing Experience Required
- Strong Assessment, Documentation, and Communication Skills
- Ability to Supervise and Coach Home Health Aides
- Strong Problem-Solving and Organizational Skills
- Dependable Transportation for Client and Supervisory Visits
Nice To Haves
- Home Care, Personal Care, or Non-Skilled Services Experience Preferred
- Supervisory Experience Preferred
Responsibilities
- Complete initial and ongoing client assessments
- Develop and update individualized plans of care
- Conduct required supervisory visits
- Supervise Home Health Aides providing personal care services
- Monitor caregiver performance and compliance with plans of care
- Provide education, coaching, and guidance to HHAs
- Identify and report changes in client condition
- Communicate with clients, families, caregivers, and agency leadership
- Address client and caregiver concerns
- Review documentation for accuracy and completeness
- Assist with caregiver competency and performance evaluations
- Ensure services meet agency policies and applicable DC requirements
- Support quality assurance and non-skilled clinical operations
