Clinical Psychologist, Fort Leavenworth, Kansas About the Position: This position is located at Munson Army Heath Clinic, Fort Leavenworth, Kansas This is a Direct Hire Solicitation A recruitment incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Student Loan repayment may be authorized. Non-Federal work experience may be creditable for leave purposes. Fort Leavenworth is located near the Greater Kansas City metropolitan area. Requirements

  • US Citizens
  • Doctoral Degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) directly related to full professional work in clinical psychology.
  • This position requires a current, active, valid, and unrestricted clinical license to practice Psychology independently offered by a U.S. State, District of Columbia, Commonwealth, territory, or jurisdiction.
  • One year of specialized experience which includes performing psychological evaluations, developing behavioral health treatment plans, providing psychological counseling services, and providing guidance to behavioral health employees.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as chief of a community mental health clinic with administrative and supervisory responsibilities.
  • Responsible for oversight of clinic and meeting requests of Deputy Commander.
  • Maintain administrative responsibility over mental health staff with sections in psychology and social work services.
  • Provide outpatient services to include assessment, diagnosis and treatment.
  • Assign work to subordinates based on priorities, difficulty of assignments, and the capabilities of employees.
  • PERFORMS OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED.
